NADIR KHAN'S TROUBLES
HEAVY FIGHTING ON BORDER
RESULT OF ALTERCATION Reed. 1.45 p.m. DELHI, Wednesday. With the coming of winter in Afghanistan, King Nadir Khan’s troubles have begun. Fierce fighting has occurred between 1,000 Shinwari tribesmen and the Afghan Government troops at Torkham. a customs port on the Indo-Afghan border. The fight arose through the customs officials assaulting a party ot Shinwaris who refused to pay tolls. The latter gathered a force, attacked and captured the post. There were many casualties, on both sides. The Government troops, armed with machine-guns, attempted to recapture the post, but were unsuccessful. The Molimand tribesmen are also reported to be gathering to attack Jalalabad.
