Kenny, Aldred Road, Remuera. Mrs. 3J. W. Duthie is staying with. Mrs. W. X. Abbott, at Manukau Road, Epsom. Miss M. Hrysdale, of Haddington, Scotland, is staying at the Grand Hotel. Mrs. J. Campbell, of Henley Road, Mount Eden, is staying at Milford for the summer. Mrs. H. F. Thronsen, of Remuera, and her daughters, have returned from a holiday visit to Wanganui. Mr. and Mrs. Power (.Wellington), Miss Burrell (Sydney) and Mr. Leycock (Rotorua) are at Fernleigli. Mrs. Shayle George and Miss Shayle George, of Grafton, who have been visiting Karori, have returned home. Colonel and Mrs. Shakespeare, and Miss Shakespeare, returned yesterday to Whangaparoa. They have been staying at Braeburn. Mrs. Bryce Hart and her family, of Takapuna, have returned from a visit to Cambridge, where they have been staying with Mrs. Coote. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Cairney, of Taranaki East, accompanied by Miss Connie Smythe, of Howick, are motoring through Waitomo, Wanganui, and the Wairarapa. * * * Mr. Justice Smith and Mrs. Smith, with their son and daughter, who have been guests at Braeburn, have taken up their residence at Bishopscourt (during the absence of Archbishop Averill.

Shaw and Miss H. Gregory, of the United States, are among the guests at the Grand Hotel. A meeting of the Auckland branch of the New Zealand Obstetrical Appeal kund was held on Monday afternoon in the Mayoress’s room, Town Hall, Mrs. Campbell, the Mayoress, presided. It was decided to hold a public meeting in the concert chamber of the Town Hall on Thursday, February 27, when Mr. Kenneth Mackenzie, F.R.C.S., will speak on the needs of the Obstetrical Society of New Zealand. Sir Carrick Robertson has kindly consented to broadcast an address- on the appeal oh February 21, at 9 p.m.
