TO VISIT NATIVE SCHOOLS
INSPECTOR’S NORTHERN TOUR Press Association WELLINGTON, Tuesday. The Director of Education. Mr. T. B Strong, and the chief inspector of schools. Mr. W. W. Bird, will leave Wellington shortly on an extended visit of inspection of the native schools north of Auckland. The visit will occupy about three weeks. In an interview, Mr. Strong said that be desired to become more closely associated with tho native schools which were directly under the jurisdiction of the department and to establish better contact with them. lie had already visited the native schools in the Bay of plenty and East Coast districts.
