ACCEPT EARLY

WITH such large entries received for the Otahuhu Trotting Club's summer carnival, the genial secretary, Mr. R. L. Absolum, will be kept busy on Friday raking in acceptances for the first day’s card. Owners and trainers should note that the shutters drop punctually at 5 p.rn., but there is no necessity for anyone leaving the notification of intention to take part in the sport till the late afternoon. Early callers are always welcome on acceptance day with any sporting organisation, and early acceptances greatly facilitate the business. Anyone arriving after 5 p.m. on Friday, February 14, will find the sign hoisted “Too late.”
