MAUNGAKIEKIE GOLF CLUB
Following are the results of matches played in the first round of the Foster Cup by members of the Maungakiekie Golf Club at the Titirangi links. About 50 players are taking part:—B. A. Wills and A. Saunders beat J. Carnachan and J. Gilmour. 6 and 5; E E Beehan and F. S. Ballin beat R. j‘ Hamilton anil W. J. Hockin, 1 up; e. G. Fisher and A. N. Taylor beat H Broadbent and E. G. Tallies at the 19th; J. H. Francis and A. V. Peace beat C. Robinson and R. George, 2 and 1; A. B. Joplin and A. H. Gylies beat A. J. Good and W. R. Vercoe, 3 and 1; J. Murray and A. K. Hawley beat H. A. Randrup and J. C. Wilson at the 39th: F. Trice and Dr. Horton beat E. Dacre and A. J. Parr. 2 and 3. The following games are to be played in the second round:—Beehan and Ballin play Thomson and Cerrutty, Hunter and Ganiev play Marriner and Le Sieur, West and Jones play R. L. Wilson and W. J. Nolan. Fisher and A. N. Taylor play H. R. Cooke and Balgarnie. Murray and Hawley play Trice and Dr. Horton.
