THAMES METEOR

SEEN BY LAUNCH PARTIES The meteor x-eported in yesterday’s Sun as having been seen from Thames on Sunday afternoon, was also observed by several launch and yacht parties cruising in the Hauralci Gulf. It was very brilliant and appeared in the southern sky about half-way between the horizon and the zenith. It was a brilliant blue and fell rapidly toward the south south-east, apparently bursting into flame when it reached the horizon.

Among the parties by whom the meteor was seen from the gulf was that which included Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., who was on his way to pay his monthly visit to Pakatoa and Roto Roa Inebriates’ Homes.
