CLEVEDON A. AND P. SHOW
INTERESTING RING EVENTS
SUCCESSFUL FIXTURE
A high standard of work in the hunters’ classes proved one of the features 01 the 21st annual fixture of Llevedon A. and P, Association, held on the association's Clevedon grounds on Saturday. Visitors were present from all parts of the district, many coming out from Auckland. The ring events proved the centre of attraction. Entries in the hunters’ classes were a record for the association, and provided a series of exceptionally good competitions, the work of the placed horses being of a particularly high standard. The championship ribbon in this section went to Miss P. Watson’s Biuelight, an outstanding tvpe ot hunter. Entries in the dairy sections were well up to those of recent years, most oi the better-known dairymen of the district exhibiting. The sheep classes reflected the most popular branch of farming in the district, and showed in no uncertain manner the high levels to which breeding has been raised there; although there was not a wide range of entries so.ve of the exhibits were equal in quality to prize winners at any of the bigger shows of the province. The arrangements for the whole fixture reflected considerable credit on the organising ability of the committee and officials. Prize-winners were as follows CHAMPIONSHIPS Hunter.-—Miss P.
