SIR CHARLES FERGUSSON’S THANKS
WIRELESS FROM RANGITATA ; . Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. His Excellency the Administrator, Sir Michael Myers, has received the following wireless message from General Sir Charles Fergusson:— “Being now beyond the territorial limit of New Zealand. Lady Alice Fergusson and I send to you and the people of New Zealand our warmest thanks for untold kindness during five happy years, and for the wonderful farewell they have given to us on our departure. We leave with happiest memories and bid one and all our affectionate farewell.’’ A'reply has been sent as follows: “1 thank you on behalf of the people of New Zealand for the kindly message expressed in your radiogram. The people, one and all, have made abundantly clear during your farewell visits through the Dominion their sadness at parting with you both, and they will always remember with gratitude your own and Lady Alice Fergusson’s great services during the past, five years.”
