BRILLIANT METEOR
SEEN IN BROAD DAYLIGHT
BURSTS INTO FIRE Press Association THAMES, Today. A very brilliant meteor was observed about one o'clock yesterday afternoon, In the southern sky. The day was very fine and there were no clouds. The meteor was first observed almost due south about half way between the horizon and the zenith. It was brilliant blue and was falling toward south south-east. When it nearly reached the horizon it apparently burst into white fire. Spectators were amazed at it being so clearly visible in broad daylight.
