cians, have been, severely hit by the talking films. The majority of them are unable to pay their way. An outstanding instance of the bad times occurred today, when Miss Muriel Starr voluntarily sequestrated her estate.
Her liabilities are £3,000. She is a noted actress, aud formerly received a very high salary.
