LABURNUM’S TOUR
CREW OF SLOOP ENTERTAINED From Our Own Correspondent NEW PLYMOUTH, Today. The sloop Laburnum arrived at Now Plymouth from Auckland on Thursday evening and berthed at the Newton. King Wharf. Official calls were made yesterday' and this afternoon officers ancl men are the guests of the Taranaki Jockey Club at the second day' of its race meeting. Tomorrow a shooting match with local sportsmen has been arranged, and in the afternoon thero will bo a band recital at the port. On Monday’ and Tuesday various amusements have been arranged. Trams, buses and the municipal salt-water baths have been made free to officers and men in uniform.
