COMMONS AND LORDS COMPROMISE
DEADLOCK ENDED British Gffic-iul Wireless RUGBY, Wednesday. On behalf of the Government, Lord Parmoor, in the House of Lords today moved the compromise amendment to the Unemployment Insurance Bill as passed by the House of Commons. He said the amendment would note delete the time-limit imposed by the House of Lords, but would extend the limit of one year to three years. The Marquess of Salisbury, speakIn g for the Conservatives, said lie did not intend to ask the House to reject the motion. The House thereupon passed the compromise amendment without division. The deadlock between the Lords and Commons was thus ended.
