EXCESS OF WITHDRAWALS

Press Association WELLINGTON, Thursday. Post Office Savings Bank returns for the quarter ended December 31 show an excess of withdrawals over deposits of £367,678. For the corresponding period of 1928 the excess was £403,576. The total amount of deposits for the quarter, with the figures for the last quarter of 1928 in parentheses, was: £7,166,227 (£6,784,179) and the withdrawals £7,533,905 (£7,187,755).
