HOUSE BURNED DOWN
FAMILY’S HURRIED ESCAPE Press Association DUNEDIN, Thursday. . A five-roomed wooden dwelling at Tainui was destroyed by fire in the early hours of this morning, and a six-roomed wooden house next door was slightly damaged. The house which was destroyed was owned by Mr. J. S. Skinner and was insured with the Australian Provincial Assurance Oifice for £BOO, and the contents in tne same oifice for £125. The other house, which is owned aud occupied by Mr. J. Reardon, is insured for £3OO in the United Office. Mr. Skinner and his family were forced to escape in their night attire.
