JIGGER-RIDER KILLED
RAILWAY LINE ACCIDENT
Press Association DUNEDIN, Thursday. While travelling on a jigger on the railway track between Pukerangi and Flat Stream, Mr. Alexander Gray, railway surfaceman, was struck by the night goods train running to Cromwell. When picked up he was found to he seriously Injured. He was taken to the Middlemareh Hospital. where he died. Gray, who was 45 years of age, lived at Flat Stream. He was apparently on the way home when the train struck him.
An Inquest was opened at Middlemarch and evidence of identification taken.
