SWIMMING GALA

PRIMARY SCHOOLS’ EVENT AT AT CHELTENHAM

ARRANGEMENTS COMPLETED A meeting of the North Shore Amateur Swimming Club, held at Devonport last evening, completed arrangements for the primary schools’ swimming gala on Cheltenham Beach on February 22. About 30 races are scheduled. Messrs. H. Blasted, of Vauxhall School, and J. Wood. Devonport School, were deputed to organise the school entries. Mr. M. Morgan donated a cup for a harbour race from Devonport Wharf to Cheltenham Beach, a distance of one and a-half miles. The event will be held about the end of March.
