OFFERINGS FROM DOMINION
Reed. Noon. LONDON, Thursday. The wool sales closed with a total catalogue of 127.164 bales, including Puntas and English. About 91.000 i bales of Australian and New Zealand were sold, of which the Home trade ; took 50.000, the Continent 40,000 and the United States 1,000. The held-over wool amounted to 65,000 bales, including 45,000 not offered. All prices improved compared with opening rates. Fine medium greasy Merinos closed at 73 per cent, higher, inferior short, 2h to 5 per cent; scoureds, 7A per cent., except faulties, which were 2* per cent, higher. Crossbreds generally' were at par to 5 per cent, higher; scoureds and slipes generally* 5 per cent. Lambs, greasy Merinos, were a good shade harder. Inferior sorts were unchanged. Greasy crossbreds were 23= to 5 per cent, higher. At this evening's, final auction 5.542 * bales were offered, including 1.304 from New Zealand. Approximate sales were 7,445 bales. Wednesday’s actual sales were Australian 7,304 bales, New Zealand 615 bales. New Zealand crossbreds, greasy' slipes and scoureds, sold at full previous values. BRADFORD TOPS Business today was restricted by higher quotations. Sixty-fours were 29d: 60’s, 27d; 56’s, 22d; 50’s, 18*d; 46’s, 16d; 40’s, 15Jd.
