PERSONAL.—Captain P. J. Grenhfll is in command of the G. H. Scales chartered motor-ship Anglo-Canadian, which arrived in the stream at Wellington on Sunday from Port Pirie, and has associated with him the following officers:— Chief, Mr. I J . Flynn; second, Mr. H. J. Ramsay; third, Mr. E. H. Taylor; chief engineer, Mr. D. G Jones; second, Mr. P. McPherson; third, Mr. 11. Atkins; fourth, Mr. G. Robertson; fifth, Mr. J. Chorlton; sixth, Mr. A. E. Armstrong; seventh, Mr. G. W. Dobson; electrician, Mr. E. Wilkinson; chief steward, Mr. H. Trotman; purser, Mr J. Milrand; wireless operator. Mr. J. H. Hawker. Captain F. J. G. Warren has been appointed to command the Kanna, relieving Captain E. A. Stein for holidays. Captain G. B. Corby has relieved Captain Sizer of the Kaituna for holidays. The Karepo was recommissioned at Wellington on Monday with Captain W. W. Hender in command. His deck officers are:—Chief, Mr. J. S. Beaton (temporary); second, Mr. A. W. McDonald; third. Mr. F. W. Bales. Mr. A. J. McKenzie has joined the Kanna as second officer, temporarily relieving Mr. R. B. Steere for holidays. Mr. A. Haslam is now second officer of the Kaimai.
THE NIAGARA.—The Union Steam Ship Company advises that its liner Niagara is to leave Sydney this afternoon for Vanvouver via Auckland, Suva Honolulu and Victoria. The vessel is due here on Monday morning and is announced to resume her trip at 11 a.m. on Tuesday next.
MARAMA FOR AUCKLAND. —The Union Steam Ship Company’s intercolonial passenger steamer Marama is to leave Sydney tomorrow afternoon for Auckland. She is due at this port on Tuesday morning next. THE GOLDEN WEST. —Advice received by Henderson and Macfarlane, Limited, states that the American steamer Golden West was dispatched from Los Angeles last Saturday for Auckland, Wellington and Lyttelton.
