PRODICE OUT
No further will Prodice sport silk this season, for when she led the field home in the Takapuna ; Cup last week it signalised her re- | tirement for about six months. The four-year-old failed to notch a situation in the coveted New Zealand and Auckland Cups, but otherwise she was a class galloper that any stable might be proud to j have as an inmate, while her recent effort at the Shore entitles her to rank as one of the best mares in the Dominion at the present. Prodice has an enviable record since owner-trainer F. E. Loomb purchased her for 500 guineas from Dr. E. H. Milsom, and in the three years she Has graced the turf her efforts have resulted in stakemoney to the extent of £7,200,
made up as follows: Eleven firsts, five seconds, seven thirds, and 13 times unplaced.
