HIKURANGI HOMING CLUB Special to THE SUN HIKURANGI. Tuesday. The Hikurangi Homing Pigeon Club held its first young bird race for the season on Saturday, when 197 birds were liberated at Maungaturoto in showery and windy weather. The birds ranged from 10 weeks old up to six months old and the winner was J. Lawson’s entry, which covered the 40 miles in 111 20m. Result: J.
