1 “GOLD DIGGERS OF BROADWAY” I Many players famous on the Broadj way stage have prominent parts in ; “Gold Diggers of Broadway,” the I spectacular all-talking and coloured musical comedy now being enthusiastically received by large houses at St. James Theatre. Winnie Lightner. the feminine lead, is presented in several delightful songs and dances, while Xick Lucas, known as “the crooning troubadour,' has earned much popularity for his rendering of some charming vocal numbers. Features of the production are the beautiful stage effects, the performi ances of the chorus and the absorbing I plot which introduces the audience to ’ the “gold digging” activities cf four New York dancing girls and tells in a I humorous story how they win the hearts of two rather puritanical millionaires. i An excellent and diverse programme I of supports is also presented.
