GENERAL DISAPPEARS

SEQUEL MAY AROUSE RUSSO-FRENCH STRIFE WAS WOMAN A DECOY? Reed. 12.20 p.m. PARIS, Monday. The Russian refugees’ newspaper “Renaissance,” is offering £BOO for information regarding the recent kidnapping of General Koutepoff, who disappeared a few days ago. Alleged eye-witnesses mention that a woman in a fur coat acted as a decoy, but according to the paper “Le Petit Parisien,” the police are satisfied that a woman was not connected with the affair. A message from Moscow says M. Dovgalevsky, Soviet Ambassador to England, has notified the French Gov ernment that General Koutepoff's supporters are planning a raid on the Soviet Embassy, with the object of causing a Franco-Russian rupture. The Soviet Press bitterly protests against the hostile French newspaper comments arising from the Koutepoff affair.
