BOXER BADLY HURT
COLLAPSE AFTER FIGHT SYDNEY, Sunday. At the Leichhardt Stadium on Friday’ evening, in a 15-round bout for the bantam-weight boxing championship, Billy McAllister (Bst 51b). the title-holder, defeated Vie White (7st 1151 b) on points. The pair metabout, two months ago when the bout was declared no fight. The exhibition last evening was thrilling. McAllister outboxed his opponent, who fought very gamely and took considerable punishment in tliA last five rounds, when he was very* tired. White was down for the count of nine in the last round. It is reported today that White is in a serious condition in a private hospital. He collapsed just after the contest. CARNERA WINS ON K.O. FIGHT IN UNITED STATES CHICAGO. Friday. The giant Italian boxer Camera (2691 b) knocked out Rioux, of Canada (2101 b), in the first round of their bout, which only’ lasted 47sec. ,\ v "." was knocked down five times. The final blow’ was a straight right \_ of terrific power under which the Canadian doubled up and collapsed.
