SHORT PASTE FOR TARTS | ONE pound of flour, 12 ounces 3 of butter , two yolks of eggs, two tablespoon fills of sugar, two break fast cup f ids of water, a § teaspoonful of salt. Hub flour and g butter together , add sugar. Make g a well in the centre, put in the |j yolks, salt, and a little water; *j work the paste smooth, then roll jj out and use. Omit the eggs if you is wish , and use, instead, lemon juice fs or cream of tartar. j-
