SWIMMING AT CAMBRIDGE
MANY VISITING ENTRANTS From Our Own Correspondent CAMBRIDGE, Todaj . The Cambridge Swimming Club held a successful gala in the municipal baths on Saturday evening. Fully GOO people were present. Interest was attached to the gala by the presence of a team of eight swimmers from the Parnell and the Helensvillo clubs and the appearance of Miss Lily Copplestone. the Canterbury long-distance professional swimmer, at present residing in Morrinsville. The success of the gala is indicated in the fact that 182 entries were received apart from the post entry events. In the 33 l-3yds men’s handicap, 51 entries were received. Both these totals are a record for any club in the South Auckland Centre Results in the principal events: Relay Race.—Hamilton (Packman. Ross, Mcllwraith, Farquhar), 1: Parnell (Wilson, Steer. G.
