CHARGED WITH ASSAULT
ONEHUNGA LABOURER FINED "He smacked me on the mouth and frroka my teeth.”* This was how Minnie Jepson, complainant, described the action of NorWian Mathieson when he was charged assault in the Onehunga Police iCourt this morning. Complainant said she and Mathle*on, with whom she was living, were talking up Queen Street, Onehunga, last evening, when the alleged attack took place. Constable Powell subsequently arrested accused. Mathieson told the court that he did pot strike complainant, lie merely fried to push her away from him. . Messrs. J. E. Cowell, J.P., and F\ •jT- Soar.
