CRIMINAL SESSION
SIXTEEN CASES FOR TRIAL OPENING ON TUESDAY Sixteen criminal cases have been set down for trial at the first session of the Supreme Court, opening on Tuesday. Mr. Justice Herdman and Mr. Justice Smith will be on the Bench. The accused persons and charges are as under: William David Weller, negligent driving while intoxicated, causing death, at Auckland. James Anthony Lynch, breaking, entering and theft, at Auckland. Charles Mozart Spinley, bigamy and making false declaration, at Auckland. Nic-klis Music, unlawful carnal knowledge, at Auckland. Frederick Dixon, breaking, entering and theft, at Auckland. Claude Paget and Edward Richard Black, -attempted theft at Onehunga. Sydney Herbert Norman, indecent assault, at Onehunga. David Barry, theft, forgery and uttering, at Auckland. Denny Hunia, incest, at Opotiki. Maud Herbert, murder, at Auckland. David Henry Mehaffey, cattle stealing, at Fukekohe. Nathan Hart, reckless driving causing death, at Whangarei. John Albert Roberts, obtaining credit by theft and fraud, at Wbangarei. Sydney Charles Marshall, indecent assault at Onehunga. The civil business comprises about 58 cases, 10 of which are jury actions. Divorces set down number about 56.
