NEW GOVERNOR
VICE REGAL APPOINTMENT IN NEW SOUTH WALES British Official Wireless RUGBY, Thursday. Air-Marshal Sir Philip Game has been appointed Governor of New South Wales. He will succeed Admiral Sir Dudley de Chair, whose terra of office will expire shortly. One of Sir Philip’s uncles is Sir Henry Wigram, of Christxhurch, New Zealand, founder of the airplane school in that centre, from which ISO pilots were sent to the war. Sir Heury was Mayor ot Christchurch, 1902-4, and a member of the Legislative Council, j 1903-20. New South Wales’ new GovernorGeneral was Director ot Training and Organisation, Air Ministry, 1919-22. commanded the Royal Air Force in India, 1922-3, and was Air Member :or personnel on the Air Council in 1923- ! 28. He was placed on the retired I list in 1929. Sir Philip was created a j K.C.B. in 1924.
