CLAUDELANDS RAM FAIR
From Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON- Thursday. A ram fair was held at Claudelands today by Wright, Stephenson and Company, Limited, and G. Vercoe and Company, Limited. There were 650 entries. Bidding was dull except for a few lines of unusually good quality, and more than half the offering was passed in. Southdown rams sold at from 3igns to 26gns. The best prices realised were:—Southdowns: On behalf of J. Knight, to W. Harbutt, 26gns; to E. Bowman, 25gns; on behalf of O. J. Hawken, to W. J. Ziman, 21gns; to T. Robinson, 16gns; to H. W. Scales, 16gns. Romneys: On behalf of F. R. Seddon, to H. Babbage, 22|gns, 22Jgns and 25gns; to S. F. Philburn, 17gns; others, from 3igns to 12gns. Border Leicesters, to 6gns.
