PAPAKURA WEDDING

VEIL OF BRUSSELS NET FREEMAN—ARBLCKLE The wedding took place at the Papakura Presbyterian Church or Wednesday afternoon, January 29 of Miss Robina E. J. (Bobbie)’ Arbuckle. youngest daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. R. u Arbuckle. of Walter’s Crescent' Papakura. to Mr. Horatio N (Ray) Freeman 8.A.. youngest son of Mrs. and the late Mr. C Freeman, of Mount Eden. The Rev. J. Bredin performed the ceremony, while Miss Margaret Cooker presided at the organ. The church was beautifully decorated by gj r i friends of the bride. Given away by her brother. Mr. 'William Arbuckle. the bride looked charm, ing in a dainty frock of ivory georgette over satin. The flared skirt ct four tiers dipped to the ankles at the back from a tight-fitting corsage. A beautiful veil of embroidered brussels net was arranged on the head with small clusters of orange blossoms on either side. A shower bouquet of white sweet peas and dahlias was carried.

Miss Babs Leathern, of Pokeno, who acted as bridesmaid, wore a daintv frock of shell pink georgette and chantilla lace over satin beaute. with h M to match. She carried a bouquet of pink carnations and sweet peas Mr. Hugh At. Dow, of Clc'vedon. attended as best man. Mrs. Arbuckle, mother of the brid*. wore a crepe de chine frock toned with mauve, with a black picture hat, and carried a bouquet of mauve dahlias and sweet peas. Mrs. Freeman, mother of the bridegroom, was wearing a frock of biack crepe de chine with beige georgette trimming, and a black hat. Her bouquet was of red. dahlias and African daisies. The reception afterward took place in the Chic Tea Roonts, Bapakura which were attractively decorated in flowers of pink shades. Tho bride travelled in a frock o! blue printed satin, with hat to match and coat of grey plushette. Among the guests were: Mrs. IN'. M.
