SUBURBAN THEATRES

Interesting film programmes are to be shown this evening at' the Thomas A. O'Brien suburban theatres. At the Tivoli Theatre, Karangahnpe Road, are two talkies. "The Letter,” Jeanne Eagle’s dramatic tale of isingapore, is followed by "Lucky Star,” the first talkie by Janet Gaynor and Charles Farrell. The Britannia Theatre. Three Lamps, is showing "The Wild Party,” a college story, and a talkie. Clara Bow is the star. , . . The Rialto Theatre, Newmarket, and the Regent Theatre Epsom, arc both showing "Dry Martini,” a comedy of Americans in Paris, and Greta Garbo in "The Single Standard.”

Dorothy Jordan, who made her screen debut with Ramon Novarro in "Devil May Care,” has again been cast as Norarro’s leading lady in “The House of Troy.” She will play the part of a Spanish senorita. London’s famous Mayfair was brought to Hollywood by Clarence Brown when he directed John Gilbert and Greta Garbo in “A Woman of Affairs.” from an original story by Michael Arlen. In the new MetroGold wn-Mayer picture scenes in the ga v British society centre play a prominent part, and technical experts and architectural reproductions were brought from England by the director to ensure accurate detail.

Mitchell Lewis and Blanche Friderici Pave been signed to appear in Dolores del Rio’s first all-talking picture, “The Bad One.”
