EMPRESS, NEWTON

The two pictures now at the Empress Theatre, Newton, will have their final screening this evening. They are “The College Coquette,” an amusing comedy drama talkie of sport and love at a big college, and “Under the Southern Cross,” the all-Maori film, with, special synchronisation. From tomorrow another big doublefeature talkie bill will be presented at the Empress. The films will be “The Fall of Eve,” a most humorous tale of matrimonial and business complications, starring Patsy Ruth Miller and Ford Sterling, and “Father and Son,” a fine .story of a father’s love, starring Jack Holt. Both are talkies.
