The rider escaped with a bruised leg and minor abrasions. * » # Fire In Epsom Two rooms were gutted and the re«t ol the house damaged by smoke, when a fire broke out in a seven-roomed residence at 109 St. Andrews Hoad, Epsom, yesterday. I he house was owned and occupied by Mr. S. Franco. The fire broke on irt the kitchen, in the vlcinitv of tlfireplace. The Remuera ;ml Epsom Lire Brigades were quickly on th scene, and soon had the outbreak und*»r control.
