Akarana Yacht Club Entertains Visiting Crews

Large Attendance at Da77ce in Clubhouse FLAG-DRAPED WALLS An enjoyable flannel dance was given by the flag officers and committee of the Akarana Yacht Club at the clubhouse. Mechanics’ Bay. last evening, the function being in honour of visiting yachtsmen. The hall had been effectively decorated with, interlaced streamers in red, white, and blue, forming the club pennant, while the walls were draped with flags. Downstairs in the supper-roctai the long tables were arranged in a diamond pattern of red. white, and blue, with tall vases of roses and carnations. Excellent music was provided by Stacey’s Revellers. Tho members of the committee present were: Mrs. E. "Webster, who wore a rosecoloured floral georgette frock. Mrs. F. Jeffers was wearing lido blue figured crepe de chine. Mrs. G. Miller had chosen a frock of ivory chiffon. Mrs. L. Heard was wearing powder blue crepe de chine. Miss M.
