“ON TRIAL” IS AT GRAND
“On Trial,” the exciting murder mysi tery story which is now thrilling aud- ! iences at the Grand Theatre, is one ot the best of the talkies dealing with court scenes. Not only is the action of the story particularly thrilling, but the dialogue is crisp and clear, making a most entertaining picture. A fine cast of talented stage and screen players has been secured for the leading roles, including Pauline Frederick, Bert Lvtell and Lois Wilson. Excellent supporting talkie items are to be presented on the same programme.
Victor McLaglen’s singing voice will be heard by motion picture fans for the first time warbling a piece called “I’m the Duke of Kakiak.” Walter Donaldson and Edgar Leslie, Broadway song writers, wrote it and two other songs for Victor’s next picture, called “The Well-Dressed Man.” i Fifi Dorsay. who is making a. hit • with Will Rogers in “They Had to See ! Paris,” will play opposite Victor under | the direction of Raoul Walsh,
