ENTERED FOR AUSTRALIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS I The West Australian Trotting ’ Association’s championship carnival ; will be staged in Mai'clx. and the function lias attracted at least three New Zealand owners. The high-class performers, Padlock, Itoi L’Or and Logan Chief, have been accorded an entry tor the Australasian championship of £3,000 and gold cup valued at £IOO. This classy item is run over three distances, one and a-quarter, one and a-half, and two miles, each providing for two heats and a final. The prize money for each division and final is £-50, and the ultimate winner of the championship receives £650, with cup and sash,. The meeting is spread over four Saturdays, the dates being March 1,8, 15 and 22. Should the Dominion representatives ! make the trip to the West, they will : invest the big' carnival with additional ! interest. Padlock, dressed in his best j regalia, would be at home over the various distances, providing, ox course, he found the track suitable, !
