WITH A TERRIFIC ROAR, HEARD MILES AWAY, some apparatus stored in the Public Works Department sub-station at Bunnythorpe, near Palmerston North, blew up on Tuesday. The building immediately burst into flames and was completely gtitted. the damage being estimated at £lo,ooo. The operator in charge, Mr. W. Greig, had a miraculous escape from death.
