ANNIVERSARY PICNICS
VARIOUS ORGANISATIONS RESULTS OF SPORTS EVENTS Various organisations held picnics yesterday at Motuihi Island, Henderson, Whitford and Swanson. The Loyal Orange Lodge, 114. ‘Waitemata, held its third annual picnic . in the Henderson Domain. The worshipful master, Mr. J. Elliott, was in charge of the function, other officials j being Mr. Ward, district master, and j Mr. Searle, deputy-district master. | About 200 members were present. White, 2. MORRIS OWNERS’ PICNIC More than 100 Morris owners held a picnic at Whitford on the beach property of Mr. Martin Kelly. A feature of the picnic was a series of interesting motoring events. In the staff race Air. P. Boone, who has served the firm of Harrison and Gash, Ltd., since the business commenced in 1897, ran second. PITT STREET SUNDAY SCHOOL The Pitt Street Methodist Church annual Sunday school picnic was held at One Tree Hill, when more than 100 children and parents were present. An enjoyable time was spent, the children taking part in a comprehensive sports programme arranged for them.
