INDIAN STOCKS RISE British Official Wireless RUGBY, Tuesday. An outstanding feature of the London Stock Exchange this morning was the marked recovery in Indian stocks. This followed upon a reassuring official statement issued to holders to the effect that the Government had no intention of allowing a state of affairs to arise in India in which repudiation of debt could become a practical possibility. The 3 per cent, and the 3i per cent, stocks show gains of four points, and the rest of the list are one to two points better.
