LAW WEAVING WEB ROUND JOHN GIALDINI PROSECUTION LIKELY United P.A.—By Telegraph —Copyright Reed. 9.45 a.m. LONDON, Tuesday* A growing agitation is apparent fqfp some action against John Clarence Hatry’s former associate^ A message from Rome states the British Embassy is taking legal service with a view to a prosecution at the request, of the British authorities* This is semi-officially confirmed by the Home Office. At the beginning of the trial at Clarence Hatry and his three associates on January 20 it was revealed that the name of John Crialdini, an absent directdfc* in the Hatry firms, figured largely as the principal in the early transactions. Addressing the court the prosecuting counsel, Sir William Jowitt, Attorney-General, said had Gialdini been in England ho certainly would have been accused. Un» fortunately, the extradition treaty with Italy did not provide for the production of an Italian subject in Britain, or vice versa.
