Sir Ksme Howard, British Ambassador to the United States, said he did not think the United States tariff affected the British people to any great extent. For the most part British exports to the United States constituted arUcles of a highly specialised nature, and not. conflicting with domestic activities. The British factory did not compete in the United States with the American factory. Sir Esme said he noted a great improvement in AngloAmerican relations. Sir Esme Howard was the guest of the Governor-General. This is his farewell trip to Canada prior to returning to England.
