PILLION RIDER HURT
TOE CAUGHT IN CHAIN AND WRENCHED OFF ACCIDENT AT PAPAKURA Riding on the back of a motor-cycle last evening, D. Fergusson caught his foot in the chain of the motor-cycle and his big toe was wrenched off. The accident occurred opposite the Presbyterian Church, Papakura, on the Great South Road, shortly after 6 p.m. The driver of the motor-cycle was Mr. W. F. Jeffries, and they were cycling to Otahuhu. The injured man was taken to the Linton Private Hospital and was attended by Dr. W. G. Bridgeman.
