MOTOR-VAN DAMAGED

In trying to avoid a collision with a motor-truck at the corner of Station and Gijeat South Road's, Otahuhu, last evening, the driver of a light van swerved to the middle of the road and the vehicle crashed into a silent policeman. The back axle of the van snapped and the body dropped to the road. The driver. who is employed by Messrs. Andrew and Andrew, of Otahuhu, escaped without injury.
