SHIELD CRICKET CAPTAINS CRITICISED FAILED TO BEGIN PLAY Reed. 11.15 a.m. SYDNEY, Today. The morning newspapers are unanimous that play was possible yesterday in the Sheffield Shield match, and they severely criticise the captains for not starting. Some go so far as to suggest it was a batsman’s wicket. The test team for England is expected to be announced on Thursday.
