WAIKATO REGIMENTS
CAMP AT HOPU HOPU From Oar Own Correspondent HAMILTON, Monday. The advance party of the Waikato Regiment, consisting of 12 men, left for the Hopu Hopu training camp today to prepare for the arrival of the regiment. On Wednesday officers and N.C.O.’s of the regiment will go under canvas for a preliminary course, the main body following on February 1 for a week’s training. Country territorials, who have not been carrying out •evening drills will also go in on January 29 to complete their training. The medical officer in charge of the camp. Dr. E. C. Brewis, will be assisted by two nurses of the New Zealand Nursing Corps. The camp chaplain will be the Ven. Archdeacon Hawkins. The Waikato Mounted Rifles will go under canvas from March 24 to April The High School barracks will be held at Ngaruawahia. from February 10 to February 15. Thirty-six officers and N.C.O.’s of the Hamilton High and Technical High Schools are at the refresher course now being held at' Narrow Neck.
