HOLIDAY FOR BISHOP
FIRST IN 15 YEARS From Oar Own Correspondent HAMILTON, Monday. The confession that he had not had a holiday for 15 years is made by the Right Rev. C. A. Cherrington, Bishop of Waikato, in a farewell letter in the latest issue of the Diocesan Magazine. The bishop will leave for England in a fortnight and will return about November. “I am going partly to attend the Lambeth Conference, partly to fulfil preaching engagements and partly because, not having had a holiday since 1915, I am taking one in order to gain fresh strength and vigour for the work to which I have been called.” Archdeacon G. Gordon Bell, VicarGeneral, will administer the diocese during the bishop's absence and will preside over Synod and all sittings of the Standing Committee and other committees which may be appointed by the bishop.
