The following are the results of the leading events: THE ADRIAN KNOX STAKES, Of £1.500; for three-year-old fillies; 5.5 each; 1 mile. GAY BALLERINA, 8.5 (Bartle) .... 1 MALVINA, 8.5 (Cook) 2 SHEKELS, 8.5 (Johnstone) 3 Four started. Won easily by two and a-half lengths, 12 lengths between second and third. Time, 1.42. Gay Ballerina is proving a cheap filly for her owner, H. G. Kirkpatrick. She has won her last three starts. She also did well in New Zealand. ANNIVERSARY HANDICAP, Of £2,000; 1& miles. DONALD, 9.6 (Davidson) 1 WESTERN LASS, 7.13 (Coutts) .... 2 JOHN BUCHAN, 7.7 (Denham) .. .. 3 Sixteen started. There was a fine tussle in the straight between Western Lass. John Buchan, Royal Flavour, and Jeypore, which culminated in Donald squeezing through and winning from Western Lass by half a head. John Buchan was three-quarters of a length away third. Time, 2.354KURNELL HANDICAP Of £600; 6 furlongs. RAISIN, 9.3 (Pratt) 1 CASQUEDOR, 8.0 (McCarten) 2 KING’S ARMS, 7.3 (Hunter) 3 Sixteen started, including Tea Miss. Won by a neck, three lengths between second and third. Time, 1.132.
