MATCHES CONTINUE JUNIOR ROUNDS PLAYED Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. The law i tennis championships continued today in cool, overcast weather, with a slight wind. Smyth gave little trouble to D. G. France, being far below his old form and very slow on his feet. Stedman again began badly against O'Brien, but though the latter led 4—o, 5—2, he never looked like winning the set thereafter, and Stedman lost only three points in the first four games of the next set and won it easily. He dropped service at the beginning of the third set, but lost only IPpoints in the next six games, and finished with a love game. The young Wellington player Howe showed brilliant form against Angas, who took his rather easily. Howe led R —2 in the second set, and at 6 —5 brought up two points by deadly volleying. Angas’s steadiness, however, carried him throLigh. though he was a’l out to win. Glanville opened steady opposition to Wilson, but the Wellingtonian’s harder hitting and sound overhead work carried him through, after being down I—4 in the third set.
