PAPERS WORRIED OVER ITALY’S CLAIM Reed. 1 p.m. LONDON, Friday. Reviewing the first week's work of the Naval Conference, well-informed persons who are closely in touch with the discussions expressed the opinion that the conference has done remarkably well and profited by the experience of the abortive Geneva Conference in 1927. Signor Grandi’s claim that Italy shall have parity with any other European Power was quickly seized by the French Press as a first-class issue. “Echo De Paris” insists it is a moral impossibility for France to accept.
