FARMERS FIGHT

MAGISTRATE CONVICTS BOTH DISTURBANCE AT TE HOE From Our Own Correspondent KUNTE.Y, Friday. For some considerable time there have been differences between two Te Hoe farmers, Albert Ernest Smith and Frederick Wm. Just. They appeared in the Huntly Police Court today charged with fighting in a public place. The charge was the outcome of a disturbance at Te Hoe last November. Mr. McDiarmid appeared for Smith and Mr. Coldwell for just. Lengthy evidence was given, the case lasting nearly all day. . Mr. W. H. Woodward, S.M., in summing up, said it was impossible on the evidence to say who started the trouble* and convicted both defendants and ordered them to come up for sentence when called upon within six months.
